Welcome to QuantMage. This guide introduces the core terms and concepts you will see throughout the product, so you can get started more quickly and use the platform with confidence.
Glossary
Section titled “Glossary”A spell is your investment formula: an algorithm or strategy that you can backtest on historical data and deploy for live trading.
Backtesting
Section titled “Backtesting”Backtesting lets you test your spell on historical data so you can evaluate past performance and refine the strategy.
Incantation
Section titled “Incantation”Every spell is built from components such as If/Else, Weighted, and others. These building blocks are called incantations.
Grimoire
Section titled “Grimoire”Grimoire is QuantMage’s editor and backtesting engine, where spells are created and tested.
Casting
Section titled “Casting”When you are ready to use a spell in the real world, it is time to cast. In QuantMage, casting means automated trading based on your spell.
